This problem is also affecting Lubuntu Xenial final in UEFI mode, which
boots from grub, when booting from a cloned USB drive (as described
earlier). But it does not affect grub-n-iso boot systems. In that case
there is no prompting, it just reboots or shuts down.

This bug does not appear exactly in the same way in VirtualBox:
Default, with the boot option 'splash', it does not work to press Enter
to continue to shutdown or reboot (different from my real computer).
But the workaround, to remove the boot option 'splash', works. The
