I had exactly the same problem as #9 : I had troubles on the internet
connexion. I restarted and since the gnome-software don't launch on
graphic version, neither via terminal.

libgs_plugin_xdg_app_reviews.so -> libgs_plugin_xdg_app_reviews.so.0.0.0

I was able to open and use the Software app just fine until I restarted
while it was open and "pending" a download of a package (wifi wasn't
connecting). Since that restart it will not open and I get this

Same for me: Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 / Gnome 3.18
At the beginning it worked for me, but after installing the usual
software (Skype, Atom etc..) it stopped opening for me.

1) DL the archive according to your version

2) as an adm remove the original gs-plugins-9
3) extract

Getting the same error message but the Gnome Software doesn't even start
but fails silently. Found the error in log and when trying to start it
from Terminal.
