Update : In Ubuntu 16.10 the webbrowser-app launches and works as expected.
There is no problem anymore when the proprietary NVIDIA drivers are in use.

I get the above errors, and when I try to launch with sudo I get the
following:
$ sudo webbrowser-app
[sudo] password for *:
No protocol specified
QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display :0
Aborted (core dumped)
Good old Nvidia doing what it does best. I am using the Nvidia
Idem for me whith NVIDIA card GT 400

I have the similar problem with this "Ubuntu Web Browser" or
"webbrowser-app". When i try to launch that app only appears a square
transparent, after close and show me the report a problem box

I've got this problem and I have GeForce 9600 GT drivers 340 series.
Also on open source drivers the situation is even worse because while
the browser works using it always ends with a complete system freeze.
