## Steps to reproduce:

 1. Use Startup Disk Creator in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS to make a USB startup disk
    from ubuntu-16.04-desktop-amd64.iso.
 2. Boot to the startup disk and choose "Try Ubuntu without installing".
 3. Double-click on "Install Ubuntu 16.04 LTS".
 4. On the "Welcome" screen, click "Continue".
 5. On the "Preparing to install Ubuntu" screen, click "Continue".
 6. When prompted with "Force UEFI installation?" click "Continue in UEFI mode".
 7. On the "Installation type" screen, choose "Erase disk and install Ubuntu"
    and then click "Continue".
 8. On the "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" screen, click "Install Now".
 9. When prompted with "Write the changes to disk?" click "Continue".
10. On the "Where are you?" screen, clear the text box and type "s".

## Expected behavior:

Either nothing happens, or drop-down list of suggestions beginning with the
letter S is displayed.

## Actual behavior:

The window closes and no further messages are displayed.
