Public bug reported:

When doing a fresh 7.10 installation on a computer with a MSI NX7600GT
(nvidia 7600GT) with an HDMI connected monitor, as soon as the live cd
boots up into the "dash", graphics is corrupted (ubuntu logo during
kernel boot looks ok). Trying to boot into safe mode, or manually
setting vga resolution doesn't change this behaviour.

Taking out the 7600GT, inserting a nvidia 6200LE, installing ubuntu
7.10, enabling the nvidia non-free driver (everything working properly),
then removing the 6200LE and inserting the 7600GT works, so it seems
this could be a problem with the X server that the installer chooses for
the 7600GT.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
