There could be many problems here. First of all, gutsy uses the compiz
window manager my default, which is why metacity isn't found to be
running. However, it may be a problem within compiz itself. I
recommend that you install Compiz Config Settings Manager via Synaptic.
To open the control
I had a similar problem the other day when I loaded for my son a Cat in
the Hat CD under Ubuntu instead of Windows. Grey, like you, I first
pondered the hassle of reinstalling. But instead I noticed and error
