Despite this, 4.8.0-26-generic is based off of upstream kernel version
4.8.0 as per http://people.canonical.com/~kernel/info/kernel-version-
map.html .
Hence, the next step is to fully reverse commit bisect from kernel 4.8.0
to

4.8.0-26-generic.
