this was alleviated on the snapcraft side a while back and later on, the
store CDN was fixed to not cause these errors anymore.

Is there a workaround solution to this problem? I suppose downloading
the snap manually and installing from a local file should do the trick
(though I can't find any instructions how to actually do that).

The cause of my post was a problem with installation any package.

Just got this twice from an lxc container here. It succeeded the third
time. The mtr report to one of the failed IP addresses looks like this:
