There is a flickering AND also the last frame of the video is mirrored upside
down.

The flickering only happens on the video surface, you can see that the
controls are not affected, so there's very little chance any compositor
is involved here.

i am able to reproduce this bug 100% on arale rc-poposed. when you tap
the screen the video (last still frame) flickers until media player's UI
hides and then stops. if you tap again same result, video flickers when
the UI appears. so it looks like the flickering it is linked to the UI
animation.
I need an opinion from the Unity8 team on whether they think this might
be an issue with Unity8 or perhaps something more specific to
mediaplayer-app. I've not been able to reproduce this on any other
device other than frieza.
