I have no previous experience of using any Linux OS. I don't understand
the advice re the command in the terminal. I opened a terminal window
and pasted in the command you gave. I was asked for a password but no
characters

please use Launchpad Answers [1] or Ubuntu forum [2] to ask support with
Skype installation. After you have correctly installed skype, if you
still have problems, please feel free to file a new bug.

libqt4-core is a dependency.

What version of Ubuntu are you using? Gutsy Gibbon automatically
downloads the dependencies for you. If you're using something else
you'll have to manually install it by: sudo apt-get installl
libqt4-core. This report is not considered an actual bug (if you aren't
