Dear Phillip, you are totally right, and I fixed the explanation I got while trying to install already helped me to find out that I had to change a setting in my bios prior to install. That's exactly what I did. And everythign works well. The problem here is related to the Modal that is

Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted the 16.04 installer in EFI mode. A warning message prompted you that this could be a problem and recommended performing a bios mode install instead, but you chose not to. You either need to perform the bios mode install, or
