acpid doesn't handle battery events itself, I'm reassigning to acpi-
support, but I couldn't find the error message you mention in acpi-
support itself. Is this still an issue with Ubuntu 8.10?

Hi,
I dont know. My Harddrive crashed last year and I havent reinstalled linux
on the new one because Im afraid it may have caused the crash. Maybe
this weekend Ill install Intrepid and test it ;) If I the problem is still
there Ill
