Public bug reported: When an iSCSI offload card is in use, in my case a QLE4060C (qla4xxx driver), partman-scsi blindly assumes that because the root device is on an iSCSI volume it is using the installer selected network device.
I'm having trouble following the logic in init.d/iscsi, but I think a simple fix would be to check /sys/class/iscsi_session/{session_name}/ifacename. If it is != "default" then you can skip over it. ** Affects: partman-iscsi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1642482 Title: install on iSCSI offload card wrongly assumes default net To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-iscsi/+bug/1642482/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
