Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Now that xdotool 1:3.20160805.1-3 is available in Ubuntu
17.04 and later, I believe this issue can be marked fix released.
This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in
previous versions of
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
