This is now a freeze:
If you try to close a pop-under dialog, lik the Load Styles dialog,
GNOME Shell freezes
GETAROUND
If you instead select Writer - Styles - Load Styles… it works,
I can confirm that with GNOME 3.22 it works as expected in X but fails
to work properly in Wayland.
My Wayland is not operational at the moment.

thank you for your bug report, to be confirmed by somebody using wayland
but those could be gnome-shell issues since the wm handles the focus
usually
