I dont think this is an nVidia bug... I've got the same backtrace on an
ati card, with the DRI drivers used in xorg-driver-ati(not part of
restricted modules)

It's quite confusing... I use Yakuake as well, but I never noticed any
correlation between it and the crashes.
So! if this isn't NVidia's fault, where should I point the bug? Xorg?

I believe Xorg is at fault. I've had it happen to me other than times
that I use Yakuake, but that's the easiest way to reproduce it. Whatever
it is, I'm quite sure Nvidia isn't at fault, since it happens to me with
an ATI card, and as seen on the other bug report, it happened to someone
with an

I'm not sure if this is the same bug or not, but I experienced a hang
when using Google Earth. This was with a fresh install of Gutsy using
NVIDIA 7600GT (nvidia-glx-new) with Compiz activated (dual-head
display).
