resolve:i386, installing libcurl3:i386 is also necessary.

Installing libnss-resolve:i386 fixed it for me as well, but only with
Steam from the multiverse repos, not if I donwload from the steam page.
Could be a coincidence though. Had to try installing several times, but
now it's working.

I had to reinstall twice, because I had left some failed downloads, but
now I've got it logged in!
