I would also like to see that warning banner in the Nautilus file manager when 
running as root, but unfortunately there's nothing the extension can do to make 
that happen.
This is something that must be implemented in Nautilus itself.

You should make this request in the nautilus package (if it hasn't be requested 
yet), or to the Nautilus project in GNOME.
But I don't think they are going to implement this.
