Tested on ARM64 Zesty, it was failing with this before the patch. Now it
has passed the test without complaining any error.

OK, figured this one out, some platforms use openat() rather than open()
to perform the open in the lttng smoke test, so I've added that to the
test and this now passes. This is not a kernel issue at all.
