Is this for the scanner packaging of Brother drivers?
If so, I'd really like to get mentored to package them. I really need
these packages and I think it would be a wonderful addition to Ubuntu to
have these distribute by default.

Hi Brett Alton : There is actually no bug report open for scanner
packaging for Brother devices. You can open one. I was actually the one
who created packages for brother printer drivers (with a lot of help
from Till Kamppeter and Martin Pitt). If you want to start packaging
brother scanner
I had plans to do it for intrepid but I think that I won't have
sufficient time for it. However, maintainer or not, anybody can start
working on this and create the package for intrepid. So if somebody
wants to do it, your work will be welcome.
