I used Rufus to make the installer on a rpeviously Ubuntu 12.10 USB. I
did 2 passes on format and normal FAT. The installer was working fine
with no warnings or errors when it suddenly crashed. I was connected to
the internet by Ethernet.

Title:
  The installer crashed for what seemed like no reason. The only thing I
  did was open the terminal (I pressed details) a few seconds before the
  crash.
