Just upgraded from 16.04 to 17.10 beta 2 and during the upgrade, atftpd
fails the dpkg --configure step:

Setting up atftpd (0.7.git20120829-3) ...
mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/var/log/atftpd.log’: File exists

I removed the /etc/default/atftp file before doing "apt remove atftpd;
apt install atftpd" and the output is the same.

         Status: New
