Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug 54450, so it is being marked as such. Please look at
I had the same problem updating a fresh install of Kubuntu Gutsy, but
the package installed okay on the command line. I think the problem may
be that libqt3-mt asks for confirmation before upgrading, and perhaps
Adept could not handle this.

try the following:
sudo rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock
sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/lock
sudo dpkg --configure -a
- read the output, you will have to answer a few questions
sudo dpkg --configure --pending
