Hi, The bash bug I linked indeed seems to be a different one; however, it might give some clues about what might going on. E.g. your locale, PS1, PROMPT_COMMAND etc. _might_ be relevant. (I cannot reproduce your problem, although I can see the prompt incorrectly showing parts of color changing
