Public bug reported:
In 2.6.24 I get no wireless connections even though the module Iwl4695
is loaded. Network manager applet shows only wired connection and trying
to open manual settings fails.
Maybe related is that in 2.6.22-14 I get no sound but wireless works as
long as no pass. In 2.6.24 I have sound. I have tried manually
installing both drivers to no effect. Also in gutsy I compiled my own
kernel and got the exact same result as here on Heron.
My laptop is a Sony VGN-CR220E with Intel wireless 4965AGN
(802.11a/b/g/n). The audio is Realtek. I am running Heron because in
Gutsy I could not get the sound or wireless working and I also wanted to
test the tickless kernel in 64.
Both the audio and wireless are standard in many new laptops as well as
Macbooks I believe.
