I use the nvidia driver.169.07
Now I unistalled nvidia-glx an compiz works fine. For me its ok. sorry for
using your time.

Exact, but exact the same behavior here - after Start or Install Ubuntu
( live CD - first screen ).

Same error... on ubuntu 8.04 alpha 1 compiz crashes very often. system -
P4 3.0, 1024 ram, nv 7600GT 256, kernel 2.6.22
