I am looking at the repository now and all of the libxine-related packages are all 1.1.11.1-1ubuntu3. I am experiencing the same issue as described above. Amarok was working with xine and pulseaudio fine and then after a reboot I got a popup saying that I had to update my sound card with

This bug is making Hardy really annoying for me. amarok plays well for some time. Then, for no apparent reason, amarok complains about not being able to initialize device. Killing pulseaudio makes amarok play again. The same happens *every* time I login and start playing music with amarok.
