Public bug reported:
On fresh install of Ubuntu Mate 18.04 LTS, the KiCad standard version
(no build, no ppa) as installed via "apt install" cannot be used as the
cursor (small cross or large lines) is ghosted all over the screen.
Redraw fixes the schematic but next move draws again the ghosting cursor
over it. Checked also pcbnew, the problem there is ghosting cursor AND
shrinked image in the upper left corner of the design area.

At the same h/w (HP pavilion 550-100nv, AMD A10-8750, no extra graphics
card, no extra graphics driver) the problem does not exist on Ubuntu
Mate 17.10 with KiCad standard version for that (kicad (4.0.6+dfsg1-1).
