I am having the same problem on Ubuntu 18.04 ** Changed in: python-pip (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1767672 Title: "pip3 install cffi"

I disagree with the "Invalid" status. "pip3 install cffi" downloads and installs cffi-1.11.5-cp36-cp36m- manylinux1_x86_64.whl successfully on CentOS7 X64 and Debian 9 x64 without issues. It only fails to install the package, crashing with a core dump using the pip3 package bundled with Ubuntu

this is the wrong place to report. you should report it to pythonhosted.org, or whoever provides these manylinux wheels ** Changed in: python-pip (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.
