Public bug reported: When trying to upload a sdist (tar.gz) package to PyPI from Bionic, I get the following error:
TypeError: expected string or bytes-like object (see also https://stackoverflow.com/questions/49806586/twine-upload- typeerror-expected-string-or-bytes-like-object) Uloading a bdist_wheel of the same package works. The upload worked using the latest twine version (1.11.0).
