Public bug reported:

ffprobe (part of ffmpeg package) has regressed during last months. This
used to work:

$ ffprobe -hide_banner -loglevel fatal -show_error -show_format
-show_streams -print_format json ../path/to/video.mp4

However, now the results are

../path/to/video.mp4: Protocol not found
    "error": {
        "code": -1330794744,
        "string": "Protocol not found"
    }
}

no matter which file (or directory) has been given as argument.
