Public bug reported: I am returning from an 8 weeks vacations and my Ubuntu 16.04 system is showing me an empty list of updates while it is telling me there is 943.1 MB of updates to download.
When trying to update the system from Synaptic the Mark for Upgrade (right click) is working fine ...
