requested, it's currently sitting in the unapproved queue because of the
beta freeze.

I'm getting a similar error when clicking a hyperlink in a PDF document.
An error ribbon appears:
Unable to open external link
Failed to execute child process
“/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/glib-2.0/gio-launch-desktop” (Permission denied)

Unloading the evince apparmor profile makes the issue go away (until the
next reboot):
