Public bug reported: Binary package hint: restricted-manager
I had a highly customized /etc/X11/xorg.conf with an InputDevice section tailored to make my Alps touchpad work properly. After running "restricted-manager" to enable ATI 3d drivers, I found my x.org.conf to be completely overwritten by basically the default Ubuntu xorg.conf file. restricted-manager should have not touched the InputDevice sections, or at least warned me that my xorg.conf would be overwritten. A backup of my old config should have been created. An even better option would have been to allow me to merge the changes. ** Affects: restricted-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- restricted-manager overwrites existing x.org.conf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179526 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
