I am experiencing a similar enough issue to consider the same bug. SOMETIMES on logout, the monitor goes blank. The computer is still active as I can type a username and password, and log in just fine. Also, if I simply turn the monitor off and on, the picture comes back. I haven't found any part

I have this problem with Jaunty. I have kde4 session, and I have a freshly installed kdm. I get the blank screen when I logout - the only way to recover this is with ssh from another machine and then restarting kdm. If I uninstall kdm and install gdm it works fine I had been running a bug fix o
