Thanks Sebastien. That clarified the panorama. After the creation of the file (and a reboot) gnome-disks do see if there is a partition on any HD that has some resemblance to a veracrypt encryption and if the pass was saved under "seahorse" it opens it up automatically. Manually I get the same

I'm just trying the GUI way not the CLI way (which I'm not familiar with.) ** Attachment added: "Print Screen of Gnome Disks and it's behavior after "mounting" a Veracrypt file."
