Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 18.04 and 18.10, am-utils for amd64 contains only wrapper scripts and no binary executables:
$ file /usr/sbin/amd /usr/sbin/amd: Bourne-Again shell script, ASCII text executable This file is a wrapper for running amd from the build environment. It tries to execute /usr/sbin/.libs/amd, which isn't there. $ uname -a Linux H97-HD3 4.15.0-43-generic #46-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 6 14:45:28 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Release: 18.04 $ apt-cache policy am-utils am-utils: Installed: 6.2+rc20110530-3.2ubuntu2 Candidate: 6.2+rc20110530-3.2ubuntu2 Version table: *** 6.2+rc20110530-3.2ubuntu2 500 500 http://storage.home.jungo.com/ubuntu bionic/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: am-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1811591 Title: am-utils does not contain amd executable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/am-utils/+bug/1811591/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
