Your VarLogDistupgradeAptclonesystemstate.tar.gz file indicates that you still had packages from PPAs installed at the time of the upgrade attempt. If you purged the PPAs after reporting the bug please open a new bug report using 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader' and we'll make this one a
