If (while using supported graphics packages and not a PPA) you find the
problem returns, like with lots of desktop icons, then please reopen
this bug by changing the status back to New.

Greetings! I deleted everything from the desktop, I also deleted the
packages installed from oibaf-ppa and the problem no longer manifested
itself.

1. You are using "oibaf-ppa" which is unsupported and known to cause
bugs. Please remove that PPA before proceeding any further. You can
instal 'ppa-purge' to remove such PPAs.
2. After removing the PPA please run this command:
dpkg -l > allpackages.txt
and send us the resulting
glxinfo | grep Open
