Public bug reported: The apache-openid package builds a python2-only module package. It was initially sponsored into Ubuntu in 2010 on behalf of a Canonical employee and since then has been in strict maintenance mode by the Ubuntu community.
This package has no reverse-depends and is almost certainly not python3-compatible without a new upstream version (I haven't even tried with the current source, or checked if a new upstream release exists). If someone still has a requirement for this unmaintained, universe-only package in Ubuntu 20.04, they should take care to get it updated to python3. Otherwise this is a candidate for removal before release. ** Affects: apache-openid (Ubuntu) Importance: Critical Status: Triaged ** Changed in: apache-openid (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Critical ** Changed in: apache-openid (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1850670 Title: apache-id: Ubuntu-specific, unmaintained, python2-only, candidate for removal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache-openid/+bug/1850670/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
