Sorry it took me awhile.. run as requested following lockup.. It seems initially it still responds to keystrokes, lets you open new tabs.. but then eventually the whole UI freezes, and attempts to close with the X will get the app DNR dialog. "killall chrome" nukes it, and it can then be re-run

Thanks for the report. Is the beta snap similarly affected, or is it just stable? To attach more information to the bug report, you can run "apport- collect 1853731" (assuming you still have the chromium-browser package installed, which is now a transitional package for the snap, but still
