Gusty is no longer supported, and this shouldn't be an issue in more
recent versions of Kubuntu.

This bug could be solved by upgrading marble to new versions - 0.5.x,
see bug #189675 for more info

Actually you have to type: ln -s /usr/lib/libgps.so.16
/usr/lib/libgps.so.15 (Obviously, first make sure you have libgps16
installed).
It will work, this is not a very clean solution though...

I could observe the same behaviour. I tried do run the application in
Konsole and received the following message:
marble: error while loading shared libraries: libgps.so.15: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
So, I typed the following command:
sudo ln -s libgps.so.16.0.0
