Right. Every package comes with a default configuration. Openbox has
one. LXQt Session has one. And so does Lubuntu. With Lubuntu we override
the default configuration of both of those and many more. If you don't
use the Lubuntu session, you lose all that, which could have
consequences you didn't
I discovered that the system offered 3 session options to choose from during
login
1) Lubuntu
2) LxQt Desktop
3) Openbox
choosing Lubuntu session, I need to use Super + R
choosing LxQt session, I need to use alt-f2

Bugs,
Alf, your opinion is duly noted, however irrelevant it is (you said it
yourself: "your choice in Lubuntu"). Additionally, there is reason, but
since you're not involved, you wouldn't know that.
More to the problem at hand, the documentation on the vast majority of keyboard
shortcuts, this one
Fuck, wxl, alt-F2 is the default for all the runners i know - if your
change it without a reason - ok, your choice in Lubuntu, but hey, not a
good choice. And please bare whith me - i'm old enough now to be verbose
- so please don't try do forbid my mouth

Walter,
Meta-R works for me too. The reason I reported this was simply because in
Lubuntu 18.xx, alt-f2 was the default. As a result, I thought something was
amiss.
Could you provide a link to doc that gives other shortcut keys in lxqt?
Thanks

Alf, please stay out of the lubuntu-meta bugs, at least as long as
you're going to presume that Lubuntu necessarily uses the default
configuration.
That said, this *is* an invalid bug because we have configured Lubuntu
to use Meta-R by default instead to open the runner *and* you can easily
go
Alt F2 should open the runner per default - anyways, it really should
work, it does for the last five years here - so please be more specic
or close the bug

In addition to what Chris wrote, if you were intending to use lxqt-
runner to launch your command the default keyboard shortcut for that is
`Super + R`. The keyboard shortcuts are configurable either through the
application itself or in the lxqt-globalkeys configuration.
