I am still getting the same bug, latest ubuntu 20.04 as of 22.04.2020 with
gnome 3.36+
After locking screen and letting display turn off, I am unable to log in again.

There is no fix committed to Ubuntu yet, but given it is fixed upstream
in 3.35.92 we fully expect Ubuntu 20.04 to get the fix.
