I don't plan to support kernel 5.4 in eoan, since it is not part of standard

Still have same problem on generic kernel. Actually I noticed some pending
upgrades, so did "apt upgrade" & got dkms error. The relevant bits here:
Setting up grub-efi-amd64-bin (2.04-1ubuntu12.2) ...
Setting up virtualbox-dkms (6.0.14-dfsg-1) ...
Removing old virtualbox-6.0.14 DKMS files...
In case it matters: it was fresh install but I copied my old virtual
machines over from a backup of my old $HOME directory.
