I have done some more testing. I have started my system, opened FireFox
and took a look at my memory values. After that I copies an .iso from my
external HDD to my local HDD, and took a look at my memory values. After
that I burned the .iso and took a look at my memory values.

Thanks for you tests.
Could you retry with xfce4-systemload-plugin 1:0.4.2-1ubuntu3~ppa1 and
xfce4-taskmanager 0.4.0~rc2really0.3.2-0ubuntu3~ppa1 available (as soon as the
packages are built) in my PPA (https://launchpad.net/~mrpouit/+archive)? They
should fix the issue.

I tried it, it seems good.
(I think the problem was, that the System Load Plugin and the Xfce Task Manager
calculated the used memory as [Total] - [Free] - [Cached], while the Gnome
System Monitor used libgtop, which calculated as [Total] - [Free] - [Cached] -
[Buffers].
Am I correct?)

Maybe I have found something usefull:
The panel-plugin and the xfce4-taskmanager are giving the same reading, but the
system monitor is giving another reading. See attachment

Thank you for your bug report. For me in Gutsy, the two figures only
show a 2mo difference. I'll check in Hardy as soon as possible.
