Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

Suppose a page, like at <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/simple-bug-
guide.cgi>, the last step, shows several text areas.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Switch to Polish dictionary, or any other non-English.
2. Enter some English text in text area #1, e.g. "An icon on your desktop that
you can use to open a file". Firefox correctly marks a few words as spelling
errors.
3. Enter the same text in text area #2. Firefox correctly marks a few words as
syntax errors.
4. Go to text area #1 and switch to English. Firefox removes the error marks
in text area #1 but not in text area #2.
5. Go to text area #2 and realize that you cannot switch to English because the
selected dictionary is English already.

There are four viable alternatives:
A. Validate text in all text areas upon a dictionary switch.
B. (Preferred). Make the selected dictionary local to the text area.
C. (A bit weird). Allow switching from English to English in order to recheck.
(The current workaround is to disable and enable spell checking).
D. Add a "Recheck" context-dependent command.
