Public bug reported: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
- After a fresh install from Feisty, upgraded to Gutsy, I install flashplugin-nonfree from Firefox (visiting a web page using flash and clicking on the "install plugin" button. - I restart Firefox and browse the same page - Flash doesn't work and Firefox display the "install plugin" button again. If I click it, I have the message : "flashplugin-nonfree is already installed" Downloading the official flashplayer and copying the libflashplayer.so file into ~/.mozilla/plugins/ resolves the problem... PS: The problem is solved in hardy. ** Affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree - After a fresh install from Feisty, upgraded to Gutsy, I install flashplugin-nonfree from Firefox (visiting a web page using flash and clicking on the "install plugin" button. - I restart Firefox and browse the same page - Flash doesn't work and Firefox display the "install plugin" button again.
