Public bug reported: Kingston specifies the details for code 231 as "SSD Life Left" (see https://media.kingston.com/support/downloads/MKP_306_SMART_attribute.pdf), but psensor reports this as "Temperature" (see attached picture).
This gave me a mild panic. The hardware maintenance phase of 16.04 finished end Q1 2018. The release date of the Kingston SA400S37 ssd was Q1 2017 which falls within the responsibility of the hardware maintenance phase of 16.04. Therefore, this information should be incorporated in 16.04 Please fix ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: psensor 1.1.3-2ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-99.100~16.04.1-generic 4.15.18 Uname: Linux 4.15.0-99-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.23 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Thu May 14 10:56:51 2020 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/psensor InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-12-30 (500 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS "Xenial Xerus" - Release amd64 (20170801) SourcePackage: psensor UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: psensor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug xenial ** Attachment added: "Selection_323.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878509/+attachment/5371194/+files/Selection_323.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878509 Title: psensor reports ssd attribute incorrectly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/psensor/+bug/1878509/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
