Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I'm using module-alsa-sink to route pulseaudio through to hardware (for compatibility with non-pulse-supporting apps) and I've noticed that it takes a couple of seconds for actions like pause, stop, play, volume- change etc to have any effect on the sound output. I used pacmd to list-sinks and discovered a very high [looking] number for my alsa-sink. Here's the output: * index: 0 name: <alsa_output.hw_0> driver: <modules/module-alsa-sink.c> flags: HW_VOLUME_CTRL LATENCY HARDWARE state: RUNNING volume: <0: 100% 1: 100% 2: 100% 3: 100% 4: 100% 5: 100%> mute: <0> latency: <82125 usec> monitor source: <0> sample spec: <s16le 6ch 48000Hz> channel map: <front-left,front-right,front-center,lfe,rear-left,rear-right> used by: <1> linked by: <1> module: <0> description: <ALSA PCM on hw:0 (NVidia CK804) via DMA> ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Massive lag in pulseaudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/188005 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
